How the Double Good Kids Foundation started
In 2017, Double Good Founder and CEO Tim Heitmann’s commitment to helping kids took on additional meaning and impact. That’s when he and his wife Natalie founded the Double Good Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to reaching children with special needs and bringing them joy through fun, interactive experiences.
Since its founding, the Foundation has expanded its reach by collaborating with like-minded organizations to make a positive impact on children with physical, neurological, and social barriers.
This trajectory led to an important milestone in the evolution of the Double Good Kids Foundation: the advent of Double Good Days, where children of all abilities, along with their families and caregivers, come together to experience joy with a purpose.

Double Good Days allow all kids to share in the joy of participation
This annual event—created for children with special needs and their families and caregivers—premiered on October 1, 2023, at the Kohl’s Children Museum in north suburban Chicago.
Double Good Days are set to expand into more annual events and locations in the years to come.
