Good Stories. Big Impact.
Double Good Days 2023: A Day of Joy and Inclusivity
From the outset, the Double Good Kids Foundation’s mission has been clear: to tilt the playing field for children with special needs, ensuring they have the same opportunities for athletic, educational, and extracurricular activities as their peers. On October 1st, Double Good Days became the embodiment of that mission, a momentous event where barriers vanished and possibilities flourished. Hundreds of children with special needs, along with their families and caregivers, came together at the Kohl Children’s Museum for a day filled with joy and purpose.
Introducing Double Good Days
When the Double Good Kids Foundation was established in 2017, founder Tim Heitmann and his wife, Natalie, had big plans for its future. Since then, the Foundation has been making strides in its mission to tilt the playing field for children with special needs so that they too can equitably participate in athletic, educational, and extracurricular activities and experiences.

Exploring the Benefits of Therapeutic Recreation with Lincolnway
At Double Good, creating opportunities and experiences for atypical kids is a pillar of our company culture. This year, we’re doubling down on our commitment to the cause. Which is why we want to shine the spotlight on long-time friend Keith Wallace, Executive Director of Lincolnway Special Recreation Association, and the work he’s doing within the community.
Partner Feature: Glazier Clinics
Double Good Virtual Fundraising recently partnered with Glazier Clinics, an organization whose mission has been to bring coaches the best football education in the nation since 1976. Together, we are doubling down on our investment in the Football Coaching Community by offering scholarships for 75 underfunded high schools and 20 youth football leagues, including access to all Glazier in-person clinics, Glazier Drive, Glazier Academy online resources, and the Double Good Popcorn Donation Program.

This month, we interviewed Armando Estrada, one of our senior Customer Support agents who started at Double Good making the popcorn before joining our Customer Support team.
Delta Sigma Theta: Celebrating 110 Years of Service
When Rhonda Briggins was deciding where she wanted to go to college and what she wanted to pursue, she took a look around her for inspiration. As she considered the backgrounds and qualities of her mentors, she had an epiphany: “They were all Deltas!” And she wanted to be like those women, doing amazing community work and investing in other young women. She knew she needed to join the sorority Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated (DST). “And it was the best decision I ever made in my life!”
2022: Our Most Joyful Year Yet
We haven’t yet found a way to measure joy, but we certainly have some impressive numbers to back up the fact that 2022 was an incredibly joyful year for our customers and supporters of their fundraisers. And while these stats do speak for themselves, it is the stories behind them that really warm our hearts. Your dreams, goals and aspirations are priceless, and thanks to you we are able to continue supporting them in the new year.
