Bos is holding the bag of popcorn in his teeth, smiling and raising his eyebrows.

Bos Alvertos

VP of User Experience and Design

I apply my 20-plus years of user experience and design expertise to making sure the Double Good platform is the easiest fundraising app available, so organizers and their sellers can spend less time on fundraising and more time on what they love to do. I’m proud of my involvement in creating the very successful four-day Pop-Up Store model. I live in Chicago, hometown of former President Barack Obama, who I’m proud to say follows me on Twitter. I love traveling, photography and Butter Believe It! popcorn.

Donna Biernadski

VP of Brand

My favorite word is “international” (międzynarodowy in Polish, which I speak fluently), and I’ve visited 37 countries across six continents. Traveling to other lands energizes me and gives me a global perspective. It also allows me to state with confidence that the best Italian beef in the world can be found in my hometown of Berwyn, Illinois. I’ve been building national and international brands for more than 30 years and I’m excited to share Double Good with the world. Next time you see me ask me how to say “Easy Peasy Caramel Cheesy” in Polish.

Adrian Crededio

VP of Customer Operations

I played poker professionally for four years during my 20s and once advanced to a televised final table. Learning how to read people and decode their reactions provided terrific practical training for my current post, which spans all facets of customer service, fulfilling the needs of the good people running fundraisers and selling popcorn on the platform, and those who support them. I’m energized each day by how Double Good helps the youth of America realize their dreams, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the mission-driven team that makes it possible.

Maggie Dunne

Senior Director of Supply Chain

As a mom who’s participated in my share of fundraising activities, I’m so proud of our mission, our platform, and our product. I apply my 15 years of expertise to ensuring every aspect of our supply chain is operating at peak performance so the organizations that depend on us can reach their fundraising goals. During my off hours, I cheer for my son’s baseball team, play at the park with my daughter, read books with my friends, and lounge with my husband while snacking on a bag of White Cheddar Go Getter popcorn.

Sasheen Ekramullah

Senior Director of Product

I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh—the most densely populated city in the world. When I moved to the small Minnesota town of Northfield to attend college, I found the stillness so unnerving that I couldn’t sleep at night. I also found portion sizes in the U.S. to be enormous but quickly adapted (who doesn’t love leftovers?). I like going to new places and learning about the history, culture, and food. I’m passionate about creating interactive features that will delight users of our app and establish Double Good as the easiest and most engaging fundraising experience.

Ray Francis, Jr.

Director of Operations

I’m an avid and accomplished musician who can play four instruments. I’ve been in ten different bands ranging from jazz to top 40s pop—and once I opened for LeAnn Rimes (back when she drew huge crowds) at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Throughout my life I’ve bounced back and forth between the Virgin Islands and the U.S. I’ve spent 17 years in engineering and operations for a range of consumer and industrial firms. What do I love? My family, having fun and Peanut Butter Chocolate Time—all of which can be (and often are) enjoyed simultaneously.

Anton German

Chief Product and Technology Officer

I live in the north suburbs of Chicago with my wife and young son, but I’ve traveled extensively through Europe and South America; it’s a passion of mine. Another passion is mentoring young entrepreneurs and sharing the insights I’ve gained through my 16 years of experience (I’m very proud to have made Crain’s Chicago 40 Under 40 list in 2012). I get a profound sense of fulfillment from my work at Double Good. Our company’s values aren’t just written on paper; they resonate with every single employee, guiding our every action.

Dan Giancola

VP of Donations

I got my first taste of entrepreneurship when I left college to pursue a career in music. Being part of a band was both thrilling and challenging. Mastering bass guitar was akin to learning a skill, much like managing finances in a startup. My focus was on creating a collective experience, which paralleled what I found later in startup environments. Today I love being on the leading edge of innovation and industry growth at Double Good, with the freedom to shape our own story as a privately held company and the opportunity to do good in the world.

Director of Shipping Operations

I’m a proud Polish-American born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago. I’m trilingual—Polish, English, and Spanish—and I learned the last two from watching TV as a child (I pick up languages really easily). My favorite flavor is In Queso Fire (of course—it’s bilingual). I’ve been with Double Good for ten years, and my job is to see that our delicious popcorn arrives when and where it’s supposed to—so I have the great pleasure of ensuring that thousands of boxes of joy are delivered every single day.

Tim Heitmann

Founder and CEO

Double Good started over 25 years ago and I am thrilled at the impact we’ve been able to make for the countless non-profit organizations that depend on us to achieve their fundraising goals and make their communities stronger. This is possible thanks to the talented and committed people that have come together over the years to create what Double Good is today. When I’m not working with my Double Good family, I spend time with my family at home. I am a lifelong Detroit Lions fan (it’s not easy!). And if I had to name my favorite Double Good popcorn flavor, I’d say Easy Peasy Caramel Cheesy (but don’t tell the other flavors).

Mary Hess

Director of Brand Technical

I develop operational solutions to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations and keep our people and products safe. I’m passionate about learning: mastering new skills, exploring new concepts, and figuring out how to succeed at new opportunities. That’s probably why I ended up in the sciences and why I love teaching others, starting with my kids. I’ve been a dedicated softball coach to both of my daughters, and trust me, that’s no easy feat, especially considering they were on the same team at one point. I’m very proud of them and the fact they get to go to the same high school I did. When I get to take a break from my quality control and coaching duties, I do like to kick back at home with a bag of Easy Peasy Caramel Cheesy.

Maritza Jackson

Senior Director of People Experience

I was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and live in the western suburbs. I’m an expert in home organization. I optimize space and functionality in my home by labeling, decluttering, and color-coordinating everything. I have more than two decades of experience in human resources, and I have to say that Double Good is unique. I tell everyone I come across that I work at Double Good because I’m so proud of the impact we’ve made in the community. Our leadership operates with integrity, honesty, empathy, and best business practices.

Megan Jones Durst

Chief of Staff

I have loved getting my hands in the dirt and working the land ever since I was a child in Michigan, and now I’m cultivating a variety of vegetables in my garden. Over the past 15 years my career experiences have included digital content creation, process design and implementation, along with strategic planning for branding agencies, financial services firms, and fast-growing corporations. If I have a weakness, it’s for my wonderful dog Soda—oh, and for It's Peanut Butter Chocolate Time!

Ray is holding the bag of popcorn in his hand smiling.

Pete Kallianis

VP of Information Technology

I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, and I still live here, like my grandfather who settled here after emigrating from Greece. I have more than 20 years of experience in information management with small, medium, and large enterprises here in the U.S. and in China (where I lived and worked for a time), Taiwan, and Hong Kong. I love sports—watching, playing, and being on the sidelines (I coached my son’s and daughter’s basketball teams), and I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of my family and friends.

Dan Kardatzke

COO, Technology

I’m a suburban dad who doesn’t quite fit the profile. Back in high school, I was the drummer in a heavy metal band, and today I compete in mountain bike races in the Great Lakes area (fueled by Sweetie, You Salty popcorn). I believe we’re living in a time of great social change, and I’m focused on engaging with others at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, servant leadership, finance, technology, and social impact. I’ve been very fortunate in my life and I’m passionate about giving back to help others who are less so.

Amy Koenig

Director of Product Operations

I was born and raised in Cleveland and moved to Chicago in 2010. My husband and I have a workshop space where we create stained-glass art. You could call me a serial hobbyist: I really like acquiring new skills. I love talking to people who are passionate about an activity and learning from them why I should get excited about it. Professionally, I help product teams work smarter to improve the experience for our customers. I’ve never met a spreadsheet I didn’t like or a bag of In Queso Fire popcorn I didn’t want to tear open.

Kathleen is holding a bag of Butter Believe It and smiling.

Kathleen LeFevour

Director of Talent Acquisition

I live and work in Chicago, where I provide a best-in-class experience for Double Good applicants and deliver support for our outstanding team as we continue to grow. I’m fascinated by pop culture and love to decipher the hidden meanings in songs, shows, and styles and see how they shape trends and bring people together. My favorite Double Good flavor is Butter Believe It! and my favorite thing about our company is the incredible impact we make in communities, and seeing what organizations are able to do with the funds they raise by selling our amazing popcorn.

Dan Liston

Chief Financial Officer

Music brought my wife and me together; it’s a cornerstone for us both and has been a huge influence in our children’s lives. I love concerts, karaoke (don’t even try to get me off the stage), and any live show that involves music. In my dreams I have a mic in one hand and a bag of In Queso Fire popcorn in the other. I’ve managed finances for increasingly larger enterprises for 18 years, and I’m proud to be with an organization that has such a positive impact on America’s youth. Hearing about the amazing things our fundraising makes possible never fails to inspire me.

Laura Luckman Kelber

Chief Experience Officer

My goal is to deliver a seamless and joyful experience for every single person who comes in contact with the Double Good brand. I love to imagine what’s possible, and then apply the experience and insights I’ve gathered during my 30 years as a brand builder, strategic catalyst, and entrepreneur to make it a reality. When I’m not working, I’m busy with two things: figuring out how to save all the rescue dogs (I’d put every one of them in my home if I could) and dancing at a concert (I go to more than a hundred live shows a year).

Alicia Newland

VP of Digital Marketing

I’ve always been an Illinois girl. I was born and bred in Peoria, but I’ve been a Chicagoan for more than 25 years—and you won’t find a more passionate Blackhawks fan than me. Once I even found the NHL’s Stanley Cup in a grocery store parking lot (it’s a long story). I’ve been in the marketing business for 25 years, and I love street art and music of every kind. I really enjoy building meaningful connections with people; sharing a bag of my favorite popcorn flavor—My Main Cheese—is a great way to get a conversation started.

Anurag Sachdev

Head of Data

I was born and raised in India and migrated to Chicago more than ten years ago. I’m passionate about entrepreneurship and making a positive difference through innovation and purpose-driven ventures. In my role at Double Good, I have the opportunity to create real and measurable social impact with an amazing team of like-minded people. I have more than 15 years of multi-dimensional experience with a range of consumer tech, startup, and consulting firms. My hobbies include books, bourbon, biking, hiking, and building mobile apps—my latest one is for personal knowledge management.

Luke is throwing the popcorn bag in the air and smiling.

Lukasz Tabis

SVP of Operations

I was born in Krakow, Poland, and moved to Chicago as a child. For 16 years I’ve been creating efficient manufacturing operations powered by engaged workforces. At Double Good, I oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, from procurement of raw materials to delivery of our delicious popcorn to our customers. I’m a passionate fisherman, always looking for the next fishing charter with my son. My three kids love sports and outdoor activities, and my wife and I love to watch them grow and compete. If I ever have any extra time, this longtime engineer loves to tinker and fix anything within reach.
