The “Services” refers to all products and services we offer, including the use of our mobile services, website, our mobile application, and any software provided on or in connection with Double Good services. This Notice applies to all users of any of the Services, including fundraising organizers, sellers, and buyers (“Users”).

Before you access, use, or submit any personal information through or in connection with the Services, please carefully review this Notice. By using any part of the Services you understand and acknowledge that you have read and understood that we may collect, use, and disclose information about you as described in this Notice.

This Notice does not cover the privacy practices of (i) organizers of Double Good fundraisers (collectively, “Organizers”) or (ii) beneficiaries of Double Good fundraisers (collectively, “Beneficiaries”). When you participate in a Double Good fundraiser, Double Good is not responsible for the privacy practices of Organizers and Beneficiaries.

1. Personal Information We Collect.

As further described below, we collect personal information from you in a variety of ways in connection with your use of the Services – in some cases this is information you provide directly to us and in some cases this is information collected automatically or from third party sources.

a. Personal information you provide us directly:

Account Registration Information. When you register for a Double Good account, we collect your username, password and e-mail address and profile information you provide for your user profile (e.g., first and last name, picture, phone number and other information about your activities and events). This information allows us to help you or others be "found" on the Service.

Fundraising Information. When you organize or participate in a fundraiser, we may collect photos, comments, and other materials you post to the Service.

Financial Information. When you organize a fundraiser, we may collect financial information such as payment account details for withdrawals and payment information for donations, and billing information and other information regarding the payee of any fundraising proceeds for validation purposes (which could include your Social Security number if you are an individual payee of such fundraising proceeds and we are required to collect for tax purposes).

Contact Information. When ordering or registering on our Service you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help process your order and assist you with your experience and allow us to communicate with you. We may send you different types of communications: (i) Service-related emails or text messages (e.g., account verification, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices) which are required for platform functionality and cannot be opted out of; (ii) marketing and promotional communications about new features, fundraising tips, and platform updates which you can opt out of at any time; (iii) fundraiser-related notifications about campaigns you support or organize, with frequency options of immediate, daily digest, or weekly summary; and (iv) community communications including success stories and platform news, which you can manage through your account preferences. You can adjust these communication preferences at any time through your account settings or by using the unsubscribe links in our emails. For text messages, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

b. Personal information we collect automatically:

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage and browser information about how you use our website. The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include cookies and web beacons that permit us to verify system and server integrity and generate statistics around the popularity of certain content. We process the information collected through such technologies, which may include or be combined with personal information, to help operate certain features of our website, to enhance your experience through personalization, and to help us better understand the features of our website that you and other users are most interested in.

Website Delivery and Appearance – We may use third-party providers to enable certain customer interaction opportunities, content delivery (like audio or video), or other service capabilities. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following functionality:

  • Content Delivery: We partner with service providers to host our website and deliver specific content. For example, we may partner with third party companies to deliver specific content delivery like audio and video.

  • Customer Interaction: We enhance our customer interactions by offering features like webforms to make certain requests and payment processors to facilitate online payments. Each of these offerings are governed by the terms, conditions, and policies of the underlying service provider. For example, please see Typeform’s Privacy Policy for more information on how that feature operates.

  • AI-Powered Customer Support: We use AI-powered tools and services provided by third-party service providers to deliver customer service and technical support through our Services, including via chat, email, and voice channels. When you engage with our customer support through these channels, you may be interacting with an automated, AI-powered system rather than a human representative. To provide this support, we automatically collect and share certain information with the third-party service provider powering these features, including personal identifiers (such as your name and email address), usage information, and the content of your messages and communications. Any personal information disclosed to or processed by these third-party providers will be handled in accordance with our contractual obligations to protect your data, including restrictions that prohibit the use of your data to train or improve AI models. AI-generated responses are provided on an "as is" basis and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. You should not rely on AI-generated responses as professional, legal, medical, financial, or tax advice. For more information about your choices regarding the collection and use of your data, see the "Your Rights and Choices" section below.

Website Analytics and Session Replay – We use analytics and session replay services, that use cookies and other technologies that collect your Personal Information, to assist us with analyzing our website traffic and site usage to optimize, maintain, and secure our website and inform subsequent business decisions (including, e.g., advertising). These include, but are not limited to, the following third-party services:

  • Crazy Egg: We partner with Crazy Egg to help us understand how visitors interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Crazy Egg uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior. This information helps us improve and market our products and services. For more information about how Crazy Egg collects and uses data, please see Crazy Egg’s Privacy Policy

  • Pixels: We use Meta and Pinterest pixels to track user activity on our website and improve downstream offerings, including interest-based advertising for our services and those of our partners and service providers.

Interest-Based Advertising – We may also allow or enable third parties to collect personal information to provide their interest-based advertising on behalf of our products and services, or their own. Interest-based advertising occurs when advertisements are shown to you based on information collected from your online interactions over time and across multiple websites, devices, or online services that you visit or use. Some companies may engage in cross-context behavioral advertising to predict your preferences and show you advertisements that are most likely to be of interest or relevant to you.

We do not control these third parties’ collection or use of your information for these purposes, or the opt-out options they may individually offer you via their terms, conditions, and privacy policies. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the applicable provider directly. Examples of the third-party service providers we engage to serve interest-based advertisements include Google Ads (including Google Dynamic Remarketing and Google Signals), Meta Ads (including Meta Pixels and Facebook advertising services), and Microsoft advertising. It is in this context that we may provide advertising networks, data analytics providers, social networks, and video sharing platforms with personal information such as your IP address, device information, Internet and other electronic network activity information, and geolocation information in the last twelve months.

Audience Matching. In addition to the cookie-based and pixel-based advertising described above, we may share certain contact information you have provided to us directly, such as your email address, phone number, name, and mailing address, with advertising platforms, including Google Ads, to create matched audience segments for targeted advertising across those platforms' properties. When we share this information, it is transmitted securely and converted into hashed (non-readable) values before matching. These advertising platforms use the hashed information solely to identify whether you have an account on their platform and, if so, to include you in an audience segment for advertising from Double Good. The advertising platform does not retain your contact information after the matching process is complete. You may opt out of this type of sharing at any time as described in the "Your Rights and Choices" section below, including by exercising your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

Selling Personal Information – While we do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration, we do disclose personal information for other benefits that could be deemed a “sale” under various data protection laws because it is sometimes broadly defined to include activities such as the delivery of interest-based advertising on websites or allowing third parties to receive certain information, such as cookies, IP address, and/or browsing behavior.

Cookie Choices – To manage your preferences with respect to these technologies, you can:

  • Change your cookie preferences by customizing your browser settings to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable certain cookies, please note that some parts of our website may not function properly. These settings may be lost and require reconfiguration if you delete your cookies.

  • Block the collection and use of your information by online platforms and ad tech companies for the purpose of serving interest-based advertising by visiting the opt out pages of the self-regulatory programs of which those companies are members: National Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance. Please note that even if you opt out of interest-based advertising, you may still see “contextual” ads which are based on the context of what you are looking at on the websites and pages you visit.

Review and execute any provider-specific instructions to customize your preferences or opt-out of certain processing, including interest-based advertising, by third-party service providers. For example, to opt-out of this type of advertising by Google, customize your ad preferences, or limit Google’s collection or use of your data, visitGoogle’s Safety Center andGoogle’s Ad Settings and followGoogle’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. To opt out of Crazy Egg’s data collection an and use, visit theCrazy Egg Opt-Out Page. Meta also offers anAd Preferences center to customize your settings, as well as aPrivacy Policy with additional information on how you can exercise your rights.

c. Personal information we collect from third-party sources: We may collect additional personal information about you from third-party sources, including but not limited to data brokers, social media platforms, and marketing partners. This information is collected to enhance our understanding of your preferences and behaviors, enabling us to provide a more valuable and personalized experience when you use the Double Good platform. We may combine this third-party data with information we collect directly from you to improve our Services, develop new features, and tailor content and marketing efforts.
