In 2017, Double Good Founder and CEO Tim Heitmann's commitment to helping kids took on new meaning when he and his wife, Natalie, founded the Double Good Kids Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to spark joy for children with special needs and the people who care for them through inclusive experiences and spaces that foster play, connection, and possibilities.

Since its origin, the Foundation has grown through strategic partnerships and community collaboration. We've worked alongside organizations serving children with special needs, provided grants to groups doing extraordinary work in this space, and learned from families what they need most: connection, accessibility, and moments of joy.

These insights led to the creation of Double Good Days, our flagship sensory-friendly event that has welcomed hundreds of families each year in Chicago. For one unforgettable day, children with special needs, their siblings, and caregivers come together for hands-on experiences, entertainment, and play designed with accessibility at the heart.

The impact has been undeniable, and it's fueling our next chapter. The Double Good Kids Foundation is now working to create year-round programming across the country, bringing the spirit of Double Good Days to more families in more ways.
