From $13K to $50K: How FAME VA Beach Cheer Team Tripled Their Fundraising Success

Fundraising has always played a vital role for FAME VA Beach. Since partnering with Double Good in 2018, the program has steadily grown its success. In 2024, their fundraiser brought in $13,742—and with Double Good’s white-glove support, coaches and parents were able to surpass that total this year, all while balancing busy practice and competition schedules.

Fast forward to their next Double Good fundraiser, FAME raised $50,000 for their team. How did they triple their results? The Challenge: Double Their Funds Without More Work

FAME’s goal was ambitious: raise almost double than the previous year, while keeping the process manageable for coaches and families.

FAME had originally planned to start their fundraiser on a Friday before Labor Day, but Double Good suggested shifting to Tuesday to avoid the slowdown of a holiday weekend and engage families from day one. From here FAME’s sales per store went from $356 in 2024 to $506 in 2025!
